We were in the ‘slight’ severe risk on the weather map. But we woke up to a tornado warning in our county. A confirmed tornado was on the ground east of us, quickly moving north. The system is still moving north....

We were up with the sirens about a quarter till 5.
Lots of wind but we're still here.

My neighbor told me she saw Freddy (my runt button buck) chasing some does the other day. I'm guessing he is feeling well as he has not visited me in a week or two. With all the acorns on the ground the deer have plenty to eat.

It was 38º here this morning!
Here’s a pic of Jude, the goofy gangly cockerel, now almost 5 months old. He just began crowing for the first time yesterday morning. It sounded more like an owl, OOOoooooooºººººOOOooo, over and over. Beldar, the rooster took notice, and now chases him. Not sure how this will turn out, but I noticed that Jude was very quiet this morning. This is how a flock raises a cockerel....
