I saw a weather alert for Poplar Bluff. Accumulating snow Wednesday night into Thursday. Get ready.

I have plenty of firewood, fresh sourdough bread and beer so I think I'm ready to stay inside.

I'm making an Elevated Dust Bath for the Cinnamon Queens so I can remove the kennel tray and replace it with a board to exit the coop on... I know it doesn't look like much yet but I'm cutting the spline groves in this photo to reinforce the miter joints.


I took some bits of red oak and finger jointed them into longer pieces then mitered the ends and glued them together.

Made a bit of progress today after returning from the handle factory.

Splines done.


This is the template for the elevated dust bath tubby. So with snow tomorrow I should get to cut the inside and outside profile tomorrow and start work on the final fit up to the tubby.

27°F outside at the moment and Coop Uno is 39.875°F inside and Coop Deux is 43.1°F inside and no snow yet here. The real test will be tomorrow night the low is forecast to be 11°F. The forecast for today is 1" to 3" of snow accumulation.
