Sifted, bagged and stacked compost bin #3. Transferred compost bin #2 to bin #3. Transferred compost bin #1 to bin #2 and put a bunch of chickweed the wife pulled from the raised beds along with some saw dust and chips from the wood shop.

I'm taking the rest of the day off and having a cold beer.

Well the 3 Rhode Island Red hens were so busy digging in the fresh compost in bin #3 they didn't even notice me walking down the deck and I totally surprised them when I showed up with the Chicken Crack. It was funny to see the old gals flapping like crazy to get to the Chicken Crack.

2 parts Dried Mealworms

It was an outdoor work day here too. Had to fix the outside water spicket it had Frozen and busted under the house so every time I use the water it was pouring out under there.
So i finally got to use the hose to do some much needed coop cleaning.
Already time to start mowing too which takes twice as long because of all this wind we've got branches down all over everywhere.
It would be nice to put out some plants but at this rate seems like it's either going to freeze them flood them or blow them away.
Mother nature is bipolar it seems.

And I still don't have not even ONE daffodil bloom.
Mine must be true Easter lilies they are waiting for Easter Sunday.

If anyone in farr sw Missouri needs to make any room in there flock I'm officially back in the country in my tiny house and I desperately need some tick eaters, I will gladly take any unwanted roosters etc. Also does anyone happen to have an inexpensive goat or a source for goats, I just need something for brush and to be a pet.

I gave the old timers in Washburn a good laugh this morning. Was picking up chickens at the little store there and the rooster got loose. Took only 5 minutes to catch that guy in the pouring rain
