What's an e bike?

Heat advisory today. Figured this would happen now that it stopped raining we're gonna roast.

An electric powered bicycle. There are three types of motors, front wheel, rear wheel (what I'm getting) and mid motor. I have a E-Bike kit on the way for my 26" mountain bike. I'm using a luggage rack mounted battery that locks in place so no one can steal it without tools. And I'm getting a rack bag to carry stuff in. Range depends on if you pedal or not. Top speed on battery alone is 30 MPH. My buddy up the road has one he made from junk (wow is he tight) and he rides to town all the time on it.

When I told my wife I was building it she asked why and I said to go to Menards and back. Her reply was well that's better than walking!

Holy Smokes is it hot and humid today. Just came in and it's only 9 am and am totally soaked! Horses were absolutely miserable yesterday. Had no problem getting them to come in at noon. They know in the hot weather I power spray them off and they get to be inside under the fans. Put them out at 10 pm for the night but it wasn't much cooler.

I'm worried I will lose ducks in this heat. I have them in shade with pools. When it's hot like this I change the pools mid day too, mainly to avoid Botulism from the muddy pool water, but also to cool the water down. The new water wasn't much colder though. It's as warm as it usually is in July!

My goats were panting yesterday, they don't like this heat at all. They crawled under my house with the dogs and chickens to get cool lol

So you can make it where you can pedel some yourself and switch it to the motor if you wanna take a break or hurry up?

I hear ya. Same situation here. I have some brooder babies upstairs and it's so warm that they actually need a fan on them instead of heat.

The breeze makes it bearable in the shade but doesn't make it very pleasant to do much of anything outdoors. I need to spray weed killer and bug spray.
Waited for it to stop raining to do that and still can't becauseof the wind.

The battery pack I'm getting has a key so you turn the key to on and it's ready to go. It has a throttle like a motorcycle so you just twist it to go, if you pedal as well your range is increased. The beauty of it is when you get to a hill you don't have to get down to granny gear to get up the hill and you don't slow down and loose the breeze. The range without pedaling is 20+ miles with a 20Ah battery. The cassette free wheels if your not pedaling.

Fedex says I'll have my parts Wednesday...

I carried a sheet of plywood on my Honda 50 Super Sport motorcycle... it can be done but you don't go very fast LOL.

Yeah I know I need to clean up the machine shop... might do that while it's too hot to be outside.
