Update on the E-Bike. I rode 38 miles today on the original charge in all hilly roads. I started out to ride up to the highway and back and decided to cross the road and ride the side road a bit on the way back I decided to ride to the 60 interchange but blew right past that and went to the north end of town to the Minute Mart which is not far from Menards and Walmart... I tell you what riding an E-Bike sure beats walking from Menards. Then I came home and took a nap... wanting to run the battery down I rode up and down the hill at the start of 521 @shawluvsbirds might remember how steep it is when they visited. Any how I went up and down the black top about 10 times before going home. I'm impressed with the range.

It goes ~35 MPH on flat with a full charge and a lot faster down hill lol. About half charge it goes 33 MPH then when the battery is pretty much exhausted it goes 30 MPH on flat ground. so overall I'm pretty happy with the performance of it.

JT I can't even really imagine going anywhere from your house on any kind of bicycle your insane. That's why I like ya!

Had to return a part and ended up in our state’s capital city today ( that’s Jefferson City for all of you transplants… and Shaw )

Had dinner at the Missouri’s oldest continuously operating tavern… it was really good… pretty sure one of the guys at the end of the bar has been there since it originally opened

Hey man. I'm pretty slow sometimes but I do know the capital of Missourah ain't Springfield.

Anyone ever go to Springfield?
I've been there three times just this week and I'm telling you there is a nutcase on every corner there these days.
Had to stop at a Walmart in there today and I felt like I stepped through a porthole to hell. A woman with her back fat hanging out of her tank was telling off her 3 or 4 year old kid in the cart.
Some hippies were in the kitchen isle and wanted to talk appliances with us. I did not want nor need their input.
Another gal was on her phone cussing up a storm and I saw several homeless looking people I was fairly certain we're looking for a bin of potatoes to piss on.
I could not get out of there fast enough.

I was just in Springfield… had a business thing there… I experienced none of the stuff you mentioned… I also did not visit Walmart though

For a real treat go sit in the ER a couple hours and people watch. I don't expect sick people are gonna look the best. But the folks bringing in the sick people can't be bothered to get out of their pajamas and house shoes either. Or take a shower.

My favorite places to people watch are the county fairs! We have 6 county fairs coming in July and August! Some in MO, some in. KS>. Vernon, Newton, Jasper, Labette, Crawford, and Barton counties....all these are within easy driving distance for us. I just marked the calendar!
You can google county fairs for all the counties surrounding you....
and then there’s the BIG ones:
Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield is July 28-Aug 6
MO State Fair in Sedalia, is Aug 11-21
