I've always used dirt floor coops, I put leaves or straw down when it's cold and wet, I also make sure they have all the roosts they need. Your birds will be fine in the cold as long as they stay dry

Yeah, straw or pine chips help a lot to keep the floor dry. Both of my coops are elevated and they only sleep in the coops. Draft free ventilation is important to let moisture from breathing and pooping out so they don't get frostbite on their combs.

Mowed my yeard the day before yesterday for the first time in weeks! Just in time for some nice rain..
I've not missed mowing and weed whacking but it's nice to see things green up a bit.
All those beautiful lilies around my fountain just burned up before they even bloomed. All my brand new grass I had growing good died. Hostas are all toast. It has been an ugly yard summer.
