Hi Show Me Staters!
I am from Richwoods (smack dab in the middle of Desoto, St. Clair, Potosi and Sullivan) which is about an hour SW of St. Louis. I am new to the website and to chickens. I am having fun learning! Everyone on here is a wealth of great information. It is great to "meet" you all!

I was so close to e-mailing you to see what had happened! I wanted to tell you that Nester the goose is doing great and we just love her! (pretty sure she is a girl) and we got her a friend. He is a toulouse, about 3 years old and they all get along great! You couldn't ask for better babies!

I also bottle broke my youngest goat this weekend. She is 2 months old and was eating just fine. The girls also now have a turkey living with them and they all get along great.

Are you going to be at the state fair?

yes we go down on th 11th for meat chickens, then the 12th for check in for poultry, they stay for a week.....so we do! lol. then on the following tuesday is the dog show. that is my daughter's favorite day. She loves her dogs but loves her chickens and ducks and geese...oh and a turkey!
