@Crazychickengirl2 Welcome to the MO thread!
I’ve had
Rhode Island Red
Orpington
Wyandotte
Australorp
leghorn
Sussex
Barred Rock
Sebright
Appenzeller Spitzhauben
crosses of the previous 2

All of these did fine. I can’t think of any that wouldn’t.
Make sure there is shade for the summers, shade cloth will do if they aren’t under trees…

30 miles east of Kansas City - cross posted in the rehoming forum as well:

Free - 21-week Cockerel:
I have a young rooster or cockerel looking for a new home. He is 21 weeks old (hatched Aug. 22nd) and the youngest 'roo of our flock. Hand-raised in a brooder and has grown up with an established mixed flock. So far, he's been respectful and calm but has not yet reached his full maturity. He sneaked by my last round of freezer stocking, and is just one too many to keep around. I can't tell you his breed, but he could be a mixture of primarily Barred Plymouth Rock and Black Australorp. All of the breeding roosters in my flock are good boys - attentive, protective, and gentle with the hens. One mile west of Richmond. Contact me for more info. 816-918-8838.
