We got another inch of rain overnight. I haven’t had to water the gardens in days. It had been so dry, for so long, that this seems rather astonishing…

We got almost an inch of rain yesterday. I saw in the news that Marble Hill had some flash flooding yesterday. We drove through there Saturday and it was raining very hard from 67 to Marble Hill.

I don't measure rain but it rained hard fir about 5 hours straight last night, we are good on rain for a minute lol

We've gotten rain the last couple days, but I would consider it sensible amounts. We've had those nice, soothing, soaking rains. Not storms. The grass is green again and DH broke out the mower!

Lucky you! My parents just finished having someone come clean up from the storms a few weeks ago then we had another.. this was just a fraction of the damage.

Oh, that poor tree. Yes, we have been lucky. Blessed, I should say. We've had our share of damage this year though, just not in the last week or so. We've suffered more from drought this summer so the rain this week has been a blessing.

@SueT Same temperature up here. It felt like a fall morning. We are in for hot weather this weekend. It will make the steam and gas engine show a sauna.

I was in Kroger the other day and Gala apples were on sale so I bought a bag thinking I'd share a few with my deer buddies as I remembered how much the scrawny one that I nursed back to health loved them so much he almost ate them from my hand. Well the 2 bucks, doe and the fawn that live here won't touch the apples. IDK what's up with that... changed the video to this mornings video and you can see they didn't touch the apples.

Our chicks are 1 month old today. They are almost fully feathered, can fly like sparrows, and have started roosting at night…




Mama hen raised one baby 2 years ago, he’s our current rooster Jude. She weaned him at 4 weeks, I’m hoping she stays with these a bit longer….
