97.9º at noon. Our power went out for about half an hour. Really made us realize how dependent we are on AC.
Here are 3 of the 6 chicks, now 5 weeks
I think these 3 are pullets.
There is one definite boy, and another probable one.

That leaves one mystery chick. I don’t have current pics of everyone, they don’t hold still. We’ll keep one boy and the other boys will go to the swap.

Oh right. Our chickens and dogs are not free range. I might put it on a chair or picnic table if they were. The pans will get too hot to touch. I would think chickens would be afraid of its bright blazing glow, but a dog might chance it and tip the contents.

It was hot again today ... feels-like temp 113 again. Nothing new there, heat advisory continues till 10 pm tomorrow. What IS news is that we got a burst of RAIN this afternoon! Can I get a Hallelujah? Sammy tried to tell me it was coming but it wasn't in the forecast so I didn't get his doggy message till I heard the thunder, duh! Have you guys met my Sammy?
