calling any one from missouri

With only a couple of hens left I've not had any fly problems this year.

I'm sure ducks make flys worse than chickens since there is a bigger dampness factor.
And my bird pens are close to my house.
That is gonna change eventually, we're gonna start on the bird barn soon.
But right now it seems the flys are more trying to get in and get warm. There aren't that many in the bird coops. Just in my house 🤣
Having the dogs there's a lot of opening the door in and out all the time and 50 flys take advantage of every door opening.

My buddy used to say flies only know one way and that's to the other side so if outside they want in and if inside they want out... dunno how true that is.

Seems to me they only want to be where I don’t want them. 🤣 They get in my car and I try to roll the windows down so they can leave but they just want to stay in the car. 🤬

How is everyone doing? My garden is done now thanks to the frosts we have been getting, so the last couple of days I have been cleaning them out. Some predator wiped out half of my flock a few days ago, so now I have 5 roosters and 6 hens. I need to get out there and butcher some of the roosters as that is way too many for the number of hens I have. We did catch and dispose of a raccoon, I was expecting a possum since that was what I saw near 1 dead hen. I never found any sign of the other 7 missing hens.
