Oh, four o'clocks, my favorite! Why can't I get them growing here?!? Beautiful. Mom always had banks of them when I was growing up. I love their little "lantern" seeds.

Doing good. A little rain yesterday, none today. No more selling eggs, I'm hoarding. Getting anywhere from 3 to 7 a day. Not sharing, sorry!

Baby chicks not so baby any more, about 10 or 11 weeks old. I was so stupid, getting BA along with black Ameraucanas, can't hardly tell them apart. Need to band them! They are all the best foragers I've ever seen. I almost feel sorry for the ticks. Haha! No I don't! :lau

Those came from a cheap box of wildflower seed at the dollar G.
I buy them up when they go on clearance sale for practically nothing.
Granted not all of the seeds will come up, but it's fun to see what does.
And some of that stuff is perennial and will reseed itself. I hope those four o'clocks come back they are so cool!

We are doing good, just got back from Collinsville and a fun day driving on the track to benefit families with autism. Misfit Toys Car Club puts on several events each year and all the proceeds go to families that struggle with autism and it's fun driving on the track at high speeds and pulling high G's.

Oih, sounds like fun, where do we sign up?

The 4oc's will drop those tough little seeds and new plants will come up from seed in the spring. I think they need the wet and the freeze to do well, so just let nature take care of them and you should get a bigger crop year over year. Um, I mean if you want to spend an afternoon harvesting seeds and stick some in an envelope I know someone who would not be averse to having a handful. Or two. 🙄
