calling any one from missouri

I have two adult Emden geese, one that just hatched and several more in the incubator.
Also have a pair of bourbon red turkeys, a Spanish Black tom and Blue slate hen. Had two turkeys hatch last night that look like Red/Black cross. We'll see. Have many more in the incubator, the next hatch is due 13 May.
Have about 40 Americuanna chickens, and get about 30 eggs each day.
Can some one explain the different names of Americaunnas that I keep seeing on here? The violets, etc?
Thanks.

My Great-Grandparents retired in Buffalo, boy had it grown last time I was there. You know where the golf course is on the highway headin to Springfield, they lived on that road.

They are widening 65 up here and moving it over a ways. Think it goes closer to the golf course now. Interestignt he changes that have taken place in the last few years. I actually love it here. I'm actually north of Buffalo, near Louisburg.

Encroaching old age syndrome, I can't remember if I posted to this thread or not. We live on a small acreage near Ashland, Missouri, have spent many years near Trenton (north central Missouri) and Jefferson City, childhood and college years in Columbia. We have a small "rescue" flock of fifteen collected older hens found during the summer last year on CL for central Missouri. This was a good way to introduce ourselves to henkeeping. Is anyone near? I'd love a few Silver Laced Wyandottes. ~G

Just found this thread. I live in Mid-Missouri and raise a mixed flock and am now beginning to acquire breeding stock so I can sell chicks. The breeds I am going to breed are Buckeyes, Delawares, and Dominiques. I also raise other heritage animals including Dexter cows, Soay Sheep, Bourban Red Turkeys and Royal Palm Turkeys.

Clay,
You're definitely in my neighborhood then. I rent 40 acres just west of Louisburg and have 5 of my horses there now. From Louisburg, you can go to P and take it south to Goodson then we're just 2 miles from there off C highway.

I forgot to mention that my husbands parents live out by the golf course, they owned the convenience store out there (Jo's Convenience, the Phillips 66). They were bypassed by the new highway so they just closed the store, in their 70's, they were ready to retire anyway. They had been there for years, it's the place with all the concrete animal statues. They have always had chickens, mostly leghorns, but never did well because of all the varmints regardless of how tight they made the pens.
