Don't your hens head for the coop as nightfall approaches?
If I don't get home till dark, they are all on the roost and I just close the door. I have 3 groups, 10 hens in one bldg. 15 rangers in another and 50 six week olds in another and they all go to roost by dark. The only time I hunt trees is if the gate got closed before they go home.
Just wondering.
Hello fellow Missourians!! We live just outside of Branson and are new to the Chicken arena. Have had our RIR and BRocks for about 3 months. Just lost our 1st chicken the day before Thanksgiving. Not sure but think the squirrels got her. They have been seen coming out of the chicken condo where they are eating the food. Will be dealing witht them real soon. We love on 150 acres an are retired. We have 2 dogs, a mutt, a German shepherd and a cat. Appreciate all info that you all provide.

Yup, they do quite nicely when they are in the run!
