calling any one from missouri

How about the Tina livestock small animal sale every 1st and 3rd sturday how close are you to Tina MO?Its starts about 10 am to 10:30 am now...

Still too far away and at 30% commission... it don't work

But thanks for suggesting it.

If I lived closer I would buy some from you. Are there any "farmers" in the area that might buy a few? Is there a radio station you could call and advertise your chickens. Here in Marionville we have a station that you can call and tell them what you have and price and people call you and come and get things. Small ad in the paper or try Craigs List for people in the area.

Sure hope things improve for you all.

Wish I could get some, but had some unexpected chicks brought home and am over the limit until my meaties are big enough to process. Would love to get some after my flock is thinned out, but won't be for a month or so. Is there a bulletin board or anything you could put up an ad on at any feed stores close to you? And keep trying craigslist. Good luck.
ETA- Can live animals be sold at city market? That might be a good place to sell quite a few if it's allowed, and it's fairly close. Or the smaller farmers markets around, I know parkville and a few other places have them.

Have you advertised here on BYC? put up an auction, you can specify pick up only?
Have you told us on this thread what chicks you have available? Wouldn't it be better to sell a few at least than none at all?

No we had one where I grew up but Kansas City don't have much need for a farmer's swap and shop...

Abosolutely better to sell some than none! No I haven't put up an auction but I've advertised on here. I'll do so again though,

I have La Fleche a rare breed from France
Dorking, one of the oldest living domestic breeds known. Silver Grey ones.

I have a a La Fleche and a Delaware hybrid cross that are broilers. They are growing like crazy and are already 2 times the size of their full blooded siblings.

Make me an offer... I was selling full bloods for $5 each and the crosses for $2. If you buy several though, I'll come down!

If you can get eggs from Kathy in Nevada. I think she is kathyinmo on here. She is awesome! Look on the Delaware picture post. I will have eggs but mine are just at phase 1 of the breeding process. Kathy is MUCH further along in bringing hers up to standard.
