Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm looking at some buff Brahmas or
possibly some black copper Marans.
I think I'm gonna buy eggs and hatch my own. I really can't stand
the thought of shipping day old chicks, and the cost of shipping older
birds is way over my budget. LOL
And I can't seem to find anyone in my area selling pullets. I really don't
want to drive over an hour to look at birds, only to find out that they really
aren't what I want.
On that thought, does anyone want or need a few buff Silkie roos? I have
way more than I need and have to get rid of a few. I am willing to give them
away at this point. They are offspring of my show birds, just a little too much
black in the tail for me to use for breeding. I have pictures that I can email if
anyone is interested.
