***NEW PICS POST 18!!***

I know I'm probably jumping the gun again but I can't help it. Tiny is getting HUGE but feathering in soooo slowly. And I have no other Brahma experience to compare him/her too... S/he is six weeks old. Tiny was sexed as a pullet from McMurray(bought at a feed store) but those legs and how big s/he's getting... When Tiny stands tall her belly is less than an centimeter from the tops of my other chick's backs.

She looks fine. What protein feed is she getting? feathers are 85% protein. Slow feathering can be genetic. I would not worry about her you may try boosting her protein intake. Oh forgot, it looks to be a rooster though. Brahma roos out grow the hens early on.

I had them on purina chick starter for the first four weeks and then switch to a local brand which has 23% protien. Plus mealworm treats every day... It's gotta be genetics.

All the other chicks are fully feathered now, including the 5 week olds.

He's really beautiful.

Thanks, he's also my fav in the brooder. Just has this clusty/do-do/goofball thing going on that's just adorable. And he likes to stick his head out the bars of the cage (I use a dog crate for the brooder) and just look around or try and peck at things the others can't reach. Boy can he streach that neck!
