Calling Northern New England....Who's interested in swaps?? A poll...

Are you a member of the CMBF, Verthandi? I was told I wouldn't be able to swap unless my bids were being exhibited, and they have to be NPIP...do you know anything about that? If they don't have to be NPIP or showing then I'm going to go and see if I can't sell some of these chicks and such.

Well, I do have a chick feeder.

I'm looking to add a couple of silkies, and 2 GLW... But I don't have anything to swap! Can I still go?!

If you get this on time, you should go to the fairground Sunday morning in Bolton Mass. There is a show there by the New England Bantam club with a tailgate sale/swap. I'm going looking for silkies too. It from 9 am til 1. just look up the bolton fair for directions.

Hi neighbor!

I noticed you want Chanteclers... I'm just getting into them myself. I have a few Partridge and Buffs that I hope to get started on a breeding program next year.

I got the message too late about Bolton. Thanks though! I was at the Deerfield Fair yesterday, and all of the pullets and hens that I would have been interested in were already sold by 10am. I'll try Sandwich Fair this Fri night, maybe I'll get lucky. I'm looking for an Indian Runner also. The bantams at Deerfield looked really good, but the standards looked rough. Some of them looked sickly, whether eyes, or nose, bloody rumps from feather picking... so sad. I hope Sandwich has a good selection, but now my paranoid DH is freaking out about bringing some illness home. Of course they'd be segregrated for a month, but he doesn't get the nickname, "Safety Man" for nothing. lol. He's so weird, because even when you get chicks, they're coming from some place that has other chickens, lol.

Bolton was ok......i did not find my white silkie girls i went looking for

I was kinda bummed out. There was a free buff silkie, but it was too young to be sure of the sex. The people i went with took it. They have a farm, so if it is a boy its ok. I cant take that risk when i dont even know what sex mine are yet. I saw alot of barebacks there too though. My search for my white silkies continues
