I noticed this today on my drake's foot. The scales are slightly raised, and the area is a little swollen. The skin is normal in color. It just looks darker because he was outside in the dirt, so it was packed between the scales. There's no heat anywhere. He's not limping at all and acting fine. There's no scab to indicate bumblefoot, so I don't think it's that, or at least it's in its very early stages. Has anyone seen something like this before?

I found this thread, so I am assuming it's foot pad dermatitis at this point. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/swollen-toe-and-black-comb.1378097/
@Wyorp Rock I saw you replied to this post. Is there something I should do to treat his feet? It's been raining a lot lately, so the ground is very wet. Their outdoor pen consists of mulch and dirt, although it's become compacted due to the rain and them stomping on it. Inside the coop is dry, and we use pine shavings. @Miss Lydia Should I do something different to manage the footing? They're a little over 2, and this is the first time we've had an issue like this. Maybe putting more dirt in the pen will help?

I'm not that familiar with Duck feet or how they should be housed.
As @casportpony mentioned it might be o.k. but could turn into Bumblefoot so I would keep watch on it.
