Calls or Wood Ducks?

Yes they can fly. I have my calls in a dog pen kennel with a tarp on top. Every time I come in the barn 3-4 of them fly over to the door to greet me. I love them.

As for laying eggs, Min started in October and stopped in January in the coldest time period, and just started back about the first week of February.

I also have mine in a large 21x11' i think, pen. It is covered with chicken wire and hog ties so that raccoons cant get in. In the spring I seperate them into wire breeding pens up on stilts.

Yep they can fly really well. I don't let mine free range. They're such funny little ducks. I have to be careful not to step on anybody when I'm in their pen.

I vote for the call ducks!

OK, call ducks it is! Now I have to choose between the Nutmegs and Gingers. I think the Nutmegs have the edge, but the avian addict side of me is saying both. But I like the white ones too....

You found me out! My husband would be a happy man if he could block our access to that site
