Calm a neurotic rooster?

I have a beautiful 1 1/2 year old Buff Orpington roo with serious issues which are now affecting his health. He is so mean to people and hens that he has to live in a 5x 12 ft bachelor pen. He crows when something upsets him ( like losing site of his girls, or somebody flushing the toilet- yes, he can hear it). He has developed stress diarrhea for the second time in a couple of months. Any suggestions for calming him down?

Why would you want to keep something that has to be isolated so it doesn't hurt anyone?!? It would be more humane to quickly send him to freezer camp. It's not like there is any shortage of roosters and I'm sure you eat chicken every now and then. Your rooster probably had a pretty good life, better than most.

I bought a rooster ( don't know the breed, but a beautiful one) and put in the pen with my rock rooster. My rock has it terrified!! It will not come out of the corner, literally, hides it head, what can I do? It has been 4 days and he is still afraid. I have about 40 hens so I thought I could put another rooster in there without much of a problem, wrong! Help!!!
