Yes khaki Campbells aren’t calm. I have some and they hate when people come by and hate being picked up

And when they get really freaked out (which seems to happen easily) they try and fly, and then you get freaked out because they are flapping up in your face!

Exactly! Last year one if my drakes decided to flap in my face and I had a large scratch right over my eye!

As for quiet haha I am sitting here listening to my two Buffs quacking up a storm but they are pretty calm

We have domestic mallard and Welsh harlequin girls. The mallards are much flightier. We tried to handle them as ducklings, cuddled a little after hatching, but they always acted terrified. As young adults, they will rush me for food and half of them will eat out of my hands. They also let me herd them to the pond or into the coop. However, cuddling and picking them up are totally not happening without a big struggle.

I doubt many breeds like handling I have 3 breeds and only one out of 12 doesn’t mind me picking him up for a snuggle and that’s my imprinted Muscovy drake. All the rest will eat out of my hand and like to hang out around me but they are not one to want any more than that. And I am fine with it just knowing I am part of their flock is very cool.

I could send you some pictures that would make you not eat for the next three days.
All bandages and band-aids are off and the scars look terrifying! My wifie will have a late lunch today - but only if i wear socks.
The leg still swells over the day and all soft tissue hurts like an idiot used my leg to jump 10 foot down. Physical therapy starts 2morrow. Can't wait until i can walk again, at least few steps so i can set up a brooder and order ducklings.

Again: It all depends how the duck has been raised and handled! My five Runners were bought from RK at an age of ~ three weeks. They were skiddish touch-me-nots, panicking when handled.
Today four of them are still like that, the fifth one, Limpy, became ill and i had to handle him a lot. A LOT!
Since then he learned that i am not the evil ax-murderer and now he has no problems at all if i pick him up. Limpy sometimes enjoys being carried from the pool into the duck-house when he is really tired. In the beginning his heart was beating really fast after i grabbed him, now he stays calm, no drum-roll pulse. He still does not like to be picked up, but he tolerates it and he trusts me.
It all comes down to bonding and building trust!

I could handle it. I've seen some messed up stuff. I hope all goes well with physical therapy and you can walk again soon.
The weather here had kept me from my duckies alot so I understand wanting to be out with them.

Henrietta hasn't come into the house in awhile. She had started to prefer the coop with the other girls. She attacked Precious 2 weeks ago and I almost got rid of her. She is like a moody teen. One week she is nice, the next she is chickenzilla.
