Just came home from work and my rooster has either a broke leg or foot not sure. It's a shame that it's cheaper to buy a replacement than get him fixed.

Can you post a pic? A lot of the time broken bones can be splinted and will heal up.

Otherwise, theres plenty of ways to eat a rooster

My friend used two popscicle sticks and tape to splint her chickens broken leg after she put it back in the right position. It healed and was just fine.

After I got an extra set of hands I checked him out and it appears to be around the ankle joint. His toes are drawn together, so i'm still not for sure that its his ankle. Only thing I can figure is he may have landed wrong jumping from the roost. Not sure of his exact age, but his spurs are barely poking out.

I'm not smart enough to post a picture, maybe my better half can do it for me.

Leaning towards pot pie.
