Camera Flash?

Well, I agree with the rest, it's not going to hurt your chick, but he

might freak out and go ninja for a moment. Since my brooders are

always really bright from the heat lamp, my camera will focus with

the flash turned off, so I don't have to make my babies spaz....

I think all digital cameras have a way to turn the flash on and off.

Last hatch I had, As SOON as my first chick hatched I had a camera in

his face

With the flash turned ON. It didn't hurt him, he's the average

chicken who can see a worm from across the pen

If any animal gets upset at flash, I try not to do flash photos with them, but most birds/chicks I've photographed had almost no reaction to it. I can understand, though, if it's right in their face, they might not like it.

I took a picture of my chick but then the flash bulb flashed and it seemed really frightened. I'm worried about it's eye sight. Do you guys think it will be okay?
