Can’t Find Wheatgrass!!!!

I’m having a really hard time finding wheatgrass. It’s my first winter with ducks and I was really looking forward to growing it. My local rural king and TSC don’t even sell it. Even my local Walmart is selling it but for $3 per pound. I see people getting it for 50¢ per pound. Can someone please help me find some?

Well, see if it's available to order from Rural King. Most places like that will ship to store and have it in a few days.

You can't sprout irradiated wheat berries, but as long as it hasn't been irradiated you can sprout any kind of wheat you want for wheatgrass.

Yes, but it's treated with insecticide.

I don't know.
You'd have to drill down and try to find out just what chemical it is and how long it persists.
I just avoid any chemicals in my birds food.
I buy wheat for sprouting at the food coop, meant for human consumption so it's 'clean(er)'.
