in 4 days I have had 3 chickens killed, leaving 1, she rooster in the trees tonight rather than go into the coop
We have circled the perimeter and the top to make sure all is secure, set rat traps, it's awful
I brought her in to a safe space not high but at least safe
What is to become of her alone, can she survive or does she need her posse?

If you are willing to spend lots and lots of time with her and keep her company, then theoretically yes. She won't die from being alone.
However, if you want her to thrive then it's best she has her own kind to keep her company. Even if you just get one or two more it will greatly benefit her.

I've been through some loss leaving me with a lone chick. She survived, but I tried to find her companionship. After a few months, I ended up getting her a companion a month younger than her. She took to her and they have been doing great for the last year and a half.

yes, a lone chicken can survive and thrive

they might like to be part of a flock,
but they do adapt to being alone.

unless you really want more chickens,
don't get them just to satisfy the one chicken. she doesn't care..
