I have a first time broody pekin sat on a clutch of 6 large eggs most of the time she covers all other times I notice some sticking out, my silkie has now also gone broody but she is an experianced broody and good mother my question is can I let the silkie sit in the same broody pen as the current pekin and let them share the clutch or will the pekin manage? At times the eggs feel cool im concerned she isnt keeping them warm enough thanks in uk and weather is starting to get chilly

If eggs are sticking out then they are probably getting chilled. Consider candling these eggs and discarding those that are not viable. Most likely you will find that some or all the eggs have gone bad. It's always best to give broody hens less eggs than more. Letting hens share a nest often leads to trouble as the hens compete for the eggs.
