Can 2 Roo's live together??

YaY, more hens!

I have a Fr Marans and Ameracauna roo that I purchased separately as 4 month olds. Along with 4 hens. - The boys get along splendidly! I used to let everyone out together and it was a lot of fun watching them out in the pasture. They all roosted together, it was a pleasant group.

Now, I have too many roos for that, one SF roo is so vicious he goes after the Fr Marans even when he's minding his own business.....

I know I said it was rare before but....

I currently have two roos (about 22 weeks old) living together, they were hatched together. They live together and
have never drawn blood on one another, I know they are young but so far they seem fine together.

How did you get along?

If they have enough space and they have been raised together they should be fine.

I currently have 5 roosters (some were even purchased as adults from different places).

They all get on fine. They have a pecking order same as the hens. I only had one bad one that would always chase down the others all day! So he got sent to a new home.

The others all got of lovely. BUT I only let the top rooster and his 'friend' sleep in the main coop with the hens at night. All the other roosters each sleep in their own individual 'baskets' with a perch as a roost.

They will most likely be fine.1 of my roosters fights but the rest are fine. They may fight some but hope fully not lots.

I've come to the conclusion that without the distraction of girls, the boys will settle down and get along (much like humans).

How are your roos doing??
