Can 3 week old chicks eat Purina Flock Raiser?

I have seven 3 week old chicks. Is it okay for them to eat Purina Flock Raiser, or should they still be eating the Purina Chick Starter? I am currently out of it Chick Starter..... and all I have in the garage is the Flock Raiser..... lol!!

It's okay in a pinch for a few days. I think it only comes in the crumble, which is good for chicks. It has a good amount of protein, but I might check on the purina web site to compare the other nutrients. It just might have different concentrations of some vitamins, which over the long term may not be ideal for development.

Flock Raiser is fine for chicks. I have fed it or some other multi flock feed to all my birds for years.

I feed Flock Raiser to my chicks; haven't had a problem with coccidia (YET!). If you need the medicated chick starter, feed it for six weeks before switching to the flock raiser. Mary
