hey i have bantam babbys and a buff orpington rooster (and possibly other rooster but there not big enough to tell yet) i was wondering can they mate? and can thos eggs hatch? ive heard people say "silkie hybrid" and that there good sitters. is a "silkie hybrid" a crozz with a bantam silkie and like a standerd size chicken???
THANK YOU

Yes, bantams and standards can breed and the eggs will be fertile and hatch, but a buff orpington rooster might seriously injure bantam hens during the mating process.

where there is a will there is a way

I just hatched out a EE silkie cross it is too cute

hahahahahah thank you all!!!!! random question too, um if the bantam has fuzzy feet and the buff orpington dosnt, will the offspring have featherd feet to???

they will have partially feathered feet not a heavy as cochin to cochin, may only be down the legs. I have two LF cochins in with my lav orp so I hatch black fuzzy legged babies
