Can a bantam roo breed with a standard hen?

Hi guys! I am new to byc and I wanted to ask a few questions. First of all, though, I got chickens in 2015 and absolutely adore them. We have 13 chickens. 3 bantam roos, 1 bantam hen and the rest are standard hens. Last year we bought 2 old English game bantam chicks and one of them happened to be a rooster. After that we hatched 2 mille/fleur calico cochin bantams which also both happened to be roosters. To get to the point though, one of the mille/fleur roos is living with our 9 standard size hens and has been mounting them. He was hatched on the 4th of July last year(2017) and I am not sure if he will be successful with mating the hens. If he is successful then will the chicks hatched from him he healthy? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, When I was a kid, I had a banty roo, 2 banty hens, and a few LF hens. He had no problem breeding the larger hens.

I have a bantam roo with my white rock hen. I hatched 3 girls from him. She is also a fatso. PS. That's her name too. Lol

Nice name! We named the roo Stud Muffin, though I just call him Muffin for short.

My old English Game bantam roo can’t breed the big girls in with him. They run around high speed when he jumps on. He can’t get past the base of their tail.

Genetically, bantams and standards are fully compatible, and their chicks would be healthy. So if your roo is able, physically, to mount the hens, there shouldn't be an issue.
