ok, still they don't get to it in time, it sits in a truck in a parking lot over the weekend, even IF they bring it in the building it's still there the weekend. Not good.

I don't know where the OP is, but here it's certainly not 23 below zero, and, has been said a couple of times already, the chicks go to the post office and they call when they arrive. Here, the mail service is very careful with live deliveries, and they get as much pleasure out of seeing the birds safely delivered as we do. Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, it's always possible in many cases to drive to a hatchery and pick them up.
