Can a chick get shrink wraped under a broody?

This is an EE egg and the membrane seems to be very thick. Most of the shell is gone and I noticed a very little amount of blood under a piece of shell that was still attached. Another of these EE eggs has already hatched. Also I don't want to disturb the mama too much, but is checking on the hatch twice a day too much?

In my experience yes, the can shrink wrap. I peak under my broodies too.

If there is blood the chick is still not quite ready. I would keep an eye on it. If it does not progress in an hour or two, I would pull some of the membrane back to make sure the chick can breathe, it may just pop right out at that point.
