Can a clutch be unfertile?

Is it possible that my 18 week old chicken is just laying eggs within 24 hours. We have 2 roosters, not by my choice. I'm really hope they aren't fertilized.

Has she just started laying? if so, the odds of them being fertile are slim.. Unless you've seen your Roo's doing what Roo's are meant to do, it's doubtful again that they are fertile, collect the eggs frequently and you don't have to worry about having chicks.

If you’ve got two roosters chances are they’re fertilized. Depending on what type of hens you have laying at 18 weeks and 2 eggs in 24hrs isn’t that odd. Just collect them and they won’t develop.

They are black sex links. I have a roo that is a very VERY naughty to the point the alpha Roo follows him everywhere to put him back in line. My 15 year old daughter wants me to leave them. But as a newbie and 17 chicks and 20 ducklings since April I am done for the year with chicks!

It takes 3 weeks of the hen setting on the eggs to turn eggs into baby chicks. You can eat those eggs, they'll be fine. Even if they are fertile, just put them in the refrigerator, they are not going to develop into anything unpleasant in 24 hours.
