Can a duck be alone while being medicated?

Unfortunately, I left the electric off the other night and had a raccoon issue. Lost two of my ten ducks with two others injured bad enough that I took them to the vet. We decided to euthanize one unfortunately. The other is on antibiotics for a puncture wound. Should I pull another duck from the pen to keep her company for the two weeks she is on medication? She is on antibiotics is in a large dog crate in the garage.

Doxy and meloxidyl, yes orally

Thank you. It was the right thing for that girl, she was in bad shape. He did! its going to take some practice, not as easy as it looks.

Wrap her in a towel or get someone to hold her that way you have 2 hands free. Once you do it a few times it gets easier.

I wrap in a towel and hold with my left arm around her. Then I take my left index and thumb and pry her mouth open while holding her tightly next to my body and zip zip, in goes the meds and it's over in just seconds.

Good news! I see a big improvement this morning! Looks like we are headed in the right direction. Thanks for the advise my ducky friends!
Btw... I moved her medicine pen in the big enclosure with the other ducks. She was very happy to see her friends!
