I have a 12 week old hen named chickadoo and her brothers are needed to be rehomed as they are too loud for where we live. We would like to keep her but I heard that they can not live by themselves. If we got a smaller chicken type it would be easier to handle so I was wondering if a bantam can live with a hen.

Thanks 👍

It depends on the current pullet you have, if she is more docile then you can probably have a a few bantams in with her. If she's in any way aggressive I wouldn't.

What breed is your pullet?

She is thought to be a barnyard mix but not too sure. She has never pecked me unlike her brothers 🤣🤣😂. And she has never appeared to be voilent. What do you think I should do? Can they live on their own? Thanks 👍

They really do need at least one for company. They are very social animals.

They will be perfectly fine. I have everything from large English Orpingtons (old lines so they are big) to little D’Uccles. They all get along.
