Can a hen have bumblefoot on one toe?

I adopted 5 adult hens only to find that one of them has a middle toe that is deformed in that it doesn't point straight ahead. Rather it is curled to one side. It also appears as if it is swollen or at least larger than the other toes. I haven't closely examined the foot yet because these birds were never handled and are not happy with being picked up. I've never had chickens before so I'm a novice at everything and rather reticent about treating her. From all my research about bumblefoot, it always seems as if it is up on the foot rather than on one of the toes. Thanx for any help.

Yes, I used to have a roo that had a bent toe due to a break that didn't heal very well, and that toe, because of the way it hit the ground, was prone to bumble foot. Bumble foot can form anywhere that there is a break in the skin from a scratch or cut.
