can a low temperature in my incubator delay my hatch day

just last week we were hit by a small tornado and lost all power my incubator was with out heat for twelve hours half my egg's died half lived .well there hatch date is may 29 and i was wondering if my hatch date is delayed since they went without heat for so long and if so by how long

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. I hope you and all are okay! Your hatch date very well could be delayed. A friend of mine lost heat in her incubator and her eggs hatched about a day and a half late.

Yes, the lowered temps will cause a later hatch

Did you lose power? Depends on how long your power was out. Eggs have enough mass that they don't lose heat all that fast. So if you were out of power for 6 hours, it might only delay your hatch by a few hours or part of a day. During the cooling period of no power it slows the embryo's development down a bit. As long as the power wasn't off for over 24 hours, you may not notice any delay.

No I didn't loose power.. was on university anx as I came back it was on 35C could be 7 hours and the other day it happened again.. perhaps it coeld be the temperature outside that fell so much.. and then I had problems with the incubator which had some problems holding temp at 37,5..it's still air.. it jumped from 37C to 38,5C but I don't really know how logit was on 37C! Sadly I think there were many periods when the temo was longer (some hours) just at 37C...
That are my babies on day 21 with air cells marked..

As you see on the termometer temp was down again but just one moment because of the foto I took..
