Can a Muscovy hen hatch 22 eggs??

Howdy y’all, hope everyone is well

The title sums it all up. Favor, my big Muscovy hen, has decided to brood and has 22 eggs!!!!

I’ve never had one have this many… is it possible for her to hatch ALL of them? Just curious cuz… that’s a lotta eggs… now far off from two dozen haha

I saw a member post a pic of her/his Muscovy with 19 ducklings. I think it would be very hard for any of my Muscovy females to hatch that many they weigh about 5lb each .

We did 15 with our pair that we had years ago. She sat on all of them and I think there were originally 20 eggs.

I think I had a clutch of about 20 eggs or so. As time goes on the bad ones are pushed out. This gal of mine had a helper so when she got off the nest her co sitter jumped on. I’d have to go back and see how many ducklings hatched out. I did have two in my incubator that had either pipped through the egg or tried to get out but were abandoned that I added after hatch. The saving grace though was very very tolerant drake who did well with them. I only had to worry about him not seeing them then stepping on them and with his weight it was easy to flatten them. I wouldn’t do it again and would take eggs away for an easier clutch.
