Yes they will lay

I have one mixed that I don't even know what she came from (a gift). I like my full stock but its nice to have a few suprises also

There is one case in which Mutt chickens will not lay eggs. If they're boys. Boys of any breed, or mixed breeds will not lay eggs at all... otherwise, you should be good.
