My welsummers were sold to me as Ameracaunas I was expecting blue eggs until I watched them grow and read and looked at pictures and realized they were welsummers so I started all over with 5 new Ameracauna chicks dark legs and puffy cheeks I am going to get blue eggs in about 6 months but I have a great collection of birds to achieve some beautiful colors. I have a Maran welsummers and sex links so in a couple years I can have some Olive eggers too. Watching the chickens is relaxing and I love all of them but J Lo ( because she had impressive tail feathers ) or as we call her “Jenny from the flock “Sexlinks can lay pretty dark eggs.
@Blue eggs and ham.... great screen name
Do you have some blue egg layers too?
