Can a Predator Sneak past Dogs?

Just out of curiosity. We have two LGDs and a six foot fence around the chicken yard. Area is mostly covered by trees. Also have a few Muscovy ducks. Is there any predator that would sneak in?

Depends on if your dogs are outside 24/7....and how good they are.

Are your dogs on watch 24/7....

If the dog is doing its job than generally no but you still need to do your part. Secure night time roosts are a must.

Raccoons climb fences well, they can also climb a tree if close and drop into the run, which could lead to serious problems if the dogs are outside the fence.

My dog actually guards chickens, if they alarm she's in motion, because she's always on the clock nothing gets by her.

Dogs are excellent at keeping chickens and other animals safe, but nothing is 100%
