can a roo beat a hawk

I believe that if a hawk were intent on chicken for dinner it would be dead before the rest of the coop knew what happened. I have see them come thru th woods and hit a squirrel or rabbit or even a young coon and the critter never knew what hit it.

I would imagine that a roo could scare it off after the fact but raptors are so fast!
