Can a rooster stay friendly???

My 14 week old Cali White rooster has become my bestest buddy. He's
my friendliest bird and has quite a personality. He's just starting to
crow and is trying to do the "rooster dance" with a few of the pullets.

One of my friends who has had thousands of chicken(really thousands)
tells me the rooster will get mean once his hormones kick in. Another
friend with a lot of chicken experience says this is not neccessarily true.

Anyone have super friendly roosters? Did they go through stages?

Some go though stages and I've had some nice ones turn into the devil, but they don't have to. I had a rooster once who was so nice I could pick him up and carry him around how ever I wanted. He died of a broken spirit after a roo 6 years younger took his place as alpha roo.

There is hope for your roo and he can be friendly for life. This won't be in stone though because as all animals are, they can be unpredictable.

My big daddy Barrock is very friendly....until u try to pick him up!Once you have him he becomes friendly again.lol

Some will stay friendly, some will get as mean as a rattlesnake. It depends on the rooster.
