When is enough, enough? Newly Aggressive Rooster.

A little update for Everyone. Unfortunately we are going to have to cull him. I've been trying for months to calm him down. I stopped loving on my girls, let him hit me without retaliation and I even tried to bribe my entry into the coop with treats. It worked for a bit but with attacks getting more frequent it was getting harder to justify keeping him. The last straw was yesterday. They were having their supervised "free range" time and I went to walk out of the portable fence away from them and he came running after me. He sliced open my shin and thigh before I was able to pick up a stick to shield myself.

Thank You everyone for your advice. I have had the little guy since he was 3 weeks old so it has taken me a while to finally call it. But at least I know I tried everything. This has been a learning experience but a good one. Sometimes there is nothing you can do and if I want a rooster like I do this is the possible outcome.

On the bright side I have a friend that is letting me choose from twelve extra roosters she has! All of them are super nice and I'm excited to be able to hang out with my flock as a whole after he has finished quarantining.
