Can a rooster take on the "motherly role" of a chick?

What an interesting bird. A very masculine head, but a feminine body and coloring, especially for 7 months. My vote would be a hen, perhaps a hormone imbalanced one. Please let us know if it ever ends up crowing/laying. It's good that it has a motherly nature, it's a trait I appreciate in my silkies, as the whole flock usually takes part in chick raising.

That was very interesting. I didn't come across that when I was looking yesterday.I might just look more into that just for the information!
