Can a rooster take on the "motherly role" of a chick?

What an interesting bird. A very masculine head, but a feminine body and coloring, especially for 7 months. My vote would be a hen, perhaps a hormone imbalanced one. Please let us know if it ever ends up crowing/laying. It's good that it has a motherly nature, it's a trait I appreciate in my silkies, as the whole flock usually takes part in chick raising.

I don't have a top view because of where she is sleeping tonight. it is a Silver Laced Wyandote. I can get a few more in the morning when they cone out to scratch.
