LIMBO LAND- AUSTRALIA!
Hi guys,
My Silkie rooster was on top of one of our Isa Browns today.

My question is, Can my silkie rooster have chooks with an Isa Brown?

Has anyone ever bred one of these?
If so, do you have any pictures?

Thanks in advance... I am VERY curious.

Yes they can breed. But what the birds would come looking like. I have no idea. But with the ISA brown color. and a silkie I would guess maybe a buff colored HUGE silkie. But being a Sexlink its no telling what the ISA browns would throw into the coloring. Just try it :}. you may have a interesting outcome.

Of course they can breed. But the ISA Browns are hybrids, so each chick will have a unique appearance and performance. The results won't be predictable or repeatable.

My Silkie has hatch out 5 chicks so far, 1 is from an Isa brown & silkie rooster , so watch this space I will keep you updated, and will try and figure out how to down load photos so u all can see.

Yes they can. I currently have about 5-7 mixed breed chicks from a Splash Silkie rooster and a Commercial Rhode Island Red Hen. They are all blue, with spots of rust coming in, and all have black skin, and all but one have 5 toes on each foot. They appear to be bearded and muffed, have crests coming in, and slightly feathered legs. They are several weeeks old right now. None have single combs.
