I have some white bovan chicks that look like females (I think?) and some golden-brown ones that look like males, and visa versa .... can this be?? Or are the white Bovans males only? They are at 5 weeks old.

I have photos I've uploaded, but don't know how to attach them to my message.

Thanks for any direction!

I believe I saw your other post, and yes, I do agree that you have a brown male, and a white female. I don't know a thing about Bovan's though. I have never even heard of them.

Thank you! I don't mean to be a pest ... I just wasn't sure if anyone sees the posts after a certain period of time.

Finding Bovans online is a tough thing to do! Thanks for your input.

You aren't being a pest! I just didn't have time to reply when I saw your first post.

Are these from teh original cross or are they homebred? As I understand it, Bovans (the gold ones anyhow) are a sexlink 'breed' and therefore you will not get the same results breeding 'em yourself at home as buying them from the hatchery.

I know this doesnb't really answer your question, sorry
