Love seeing the proximity to each other all over, including out and about. The ladies seem to be appreciative of him.

Nope, no problems that I've seen.
In picture 5 I'm sitting on the storage box opposite Glais. I could have easily reached across and touched him. Initially he stayed standing up when I sought shelter from the rain. Mow and Sylph are used to me sitting there. If Glais doesn't detect any stress signals from them he is less likely to get stressed himself.
As I came and went while they were on the extension roost bar Glais stopped standing on my arrival.
I've been making sure that I just go about my business with calm measured movements. I don't position myself between him and the hens if I can help it and I don't encourage Mow and Sylph to come to me.
I've stopped hand feeding treats to Mow and Sylph; which interestingly has bothered Mow who did come up to me at one point and peck at my boot a couple of times. I just moved away.
I did give them treat food today ( steak) which I spread out on the ground in three areas so that they all got a chance to get some. That worked okay. Nobody bullied anyone away from their area, although Glais made sure he inspected every possibility once Mow and Sylph had finished.

My impression of Glais so far is he's a rather intelligent and well balanced creature, particulalry given his age. He'll move out of my way but there are no signs of him being scared of me. That's about ideal in my view.
He's working on making friends with Mow. She'll be quite difficult to win over. He's doing okay on that front as far as I can see. He tried one half hearted chest bump with Mow but she knew what he wanted before he made contact and moved away. Glais didn't push the matter and seconds later they both had their beaks in the same digging patch.

I think if I'm calm, confident and considerate, he'll be the same, something I've found to be true with most other species. Shame humans are not as reasonable in general.

He is gorgeous, the ladies are beautiful as ever, and hopefully they will live happily ever after.

You know how best to deal with Mow, but if you wanted to treat her, I'd expect him to take it in his stride. I don't give treats via roos as you do, so he's used to seeing a keeper giving treats out to anyone (though I don't hand feed, I just put stuff on the ground and then [usually but not always] withdraw; I hold onto the bowl to teach chicks that I'm a friend).

For those who missed it, how old is Glais?

He hatched (with Hay, Merioneth and Talgarth) on 3rd May. He was brooded by Oxwich (her first brood).

I'm pretty sure his mum is Dyffryn, though it could be Janeka or Puffin (only their eggs in the clutch). I think his dad is Fforest, because Dyffryn usually hangs out with him, and he has white shanks. (Killay, Gwynedd, Tintern and Hensol have slate shanks, and Dyffryn has slate shanks, so if any of them were his dad, Glais would have slate shanks too, but his are white.)

Just coming up to six months going by Perris's post above; that difficult age.

But it prompts a serious point. I can't remember the last jerk here. I'm beginning to wonder if that is another phenomenon manufactured by unnatural keeping conditions.
