Hi, crazy question here. I have had chickens a little over a year now. I had never really paid attention to the white spots in eggs that show them as being fertilized or not until today as I thought I did not have a rooster. Today I cracked an egg and the white spot was round with a clear outer ring.
I do have one chicken that I have not seen lay an egg. It is a frizzle, that didn't frizzle out. This chicken is not aggressive, has no unusually large comb and doesn't crow, but screeches a lot. Now that I have seen this fertilized sign in the eggs I am questioning if this chicken could be a rooster or if there's some other reason this egg appeared fertilized....I am confused.
Any insight?
